🫧 Can Concealer Clog Your Pores?

If you wear concealer regularly, you might notice tiny bumps or breakouts that just won’t go away.

One wash usually isn’t enough to remove all the makeup particles — and sometimes the cleanser you’re using just isn’t strong enough for makeup removal. (Make sure your cleanser is formulated to properly break down makeup!)

👉 This is why double cleansing (oil based cleanser + foam/cleanser) is recommended. But if your skin is sensitive, over-washing can irritate and inflame it too.

⚠️ Why This Matters for Concealer Users
 • Residue can build up in your pores.
 • Clogged pores → closed comedones (tiny bumps) → acne flare-ups.
 • Inflammation from leftover makeup particles makes breakouts worse.

âś… Tips to Prevent Makeup-Related Clogs
 • Always double cleanse when wearing concealer/foundation.
 • Choose non-comedogenic or lighter base makeup whenever possible. If prone to bumps → lean toward Purito BB Cream or Rom&nd cushion.
 • Rotate with no-makeup days to let skin breathe.
 • Don’t skip hydration (dry skin = more oil = more clogs).

✨Concealer itself isn’t “bad,” but if it’s not fully removed, it can sit in pores and lead to breakouts. Good cleansing habits are just as important as the products you apply.
